LOVE & MARRIAGE

Love is the glue that holds a marriage together. God should be the firm foundation on which all marriages are built. After all, God is the one who created man in his image and decided that it wasn’t good for him to be alone so he makes him a helper. “And the LORD God said,  It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him,” (Genesis 2:18).

Marriage should be a lifetime commitment that is bound together by the glue of love. Husbands should love their wives like God loves the church and wives should submit to their husbands. “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;”(Ephesians 5:25)

Marriage is a covenant and should be upheld by both spouses. Wives should also love their husbands and submit to them. “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord,” (Ephesians 5:22).

A strong marriage is based on principles found in the bible and involves both spouses knowing who they are in Christ and who God is.
