BIBLE SCRIPTURES ON LOVE

Love

God wants us to love with the Agape love of Christ. God wants us to forgive all those who have wronged us. We should turn the other cheek and not retaliate when others do us harm. God is love. He loves us so much that he sent his only son to die on the cross, so we can be reconciled to him. His children are called love as well. We should all say it on a daily basis. “I am Love.”

Love is not silent, it speaks loudly. We can see his love in everything around us. He is the God of all abundance and he freely gives his love to us. He is close to us every day, watching over us with loving kindness and tender mercies.

The love of God is unfailing and compassionate. He will not hold our sins against us, or give us the punishment we deserve. God is ready to pardon and willing to wash us clean from our sins. He is the all-powerful God who doesn’t need anything from man, yet he chooses to be mindful of our every need.

God first loved us, even when we were far from him and deep in our sins. He cares for us. He is a covenant-keeping God who will never ever leave us.
