Favor of God

Eight ways to receive favor from God.

Favor comes from the mighty God, the creator of all things. Favor brings down the blessings that flow from heaven. God does not look at the outer appearance of man but at the heart. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. You can toil and labor without much success, but when the favor of God comes down, there is sudden and constant success. When God favors someone it doesn’t depend on their background or physical appearance. Remember in the bible when God sent Samuel to anoint David. He was the chosen one, but even Jesse his father did not choose him. David had favor with God and with people.

God called and favored David, men did not choose him. God did and he qualified him for the calling. He will do the same for you. God has a perfect will and plan for your life, He is calling you to your destiny. You just have to submit and say “Yes Lord here I am send me.” God is the one who sets down one and puts up another. “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.”(Psalms 75:6-7)

Favour brings mercy and grace that man does not deserve. God’s favour took Joseph from the pit to the palace. Even when Joseph was in the pit the favor of God was with him. Joseph had favor with the prison guards. It doesn’t matter, where you are, God will show you favour despite your surrounding and situation. May the favor of God always be with you and your family. Here are eight ways to bring down the favor of God:

1. Spend time with GodWorship and fellowship

Spend time with God in Fellowship. The more you know your God, the more his favor will rest upon you. Read his word and come into his presence with worship and praise. The favor of God will bring divine blessing and prosperity. Be in the presence of God daily, he loves you. If you are always in his presence, you are right in the midst of overflow.

2. Be thankful to God

God has done so much for his people. Always be grateful to him for daily blessings. We are so unworthy of his blessings, yet he chooses to load us with daily blessings. Always say thanks for all he gives you. If you are thankful for little, then he will multiply what you have, and give you abundance. He is the God of multiplication. So many things to thank him for, we could say thanks forevermore. Show him some gratitude today. “O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever,”(Psalms 107:1). The more you give thanks the more you will see his favor.

3. Fasting

Fasting stirs up a hunger for God and his words. It brings us closer to God and allows his favor to flow to us in abundance. Fast and ask God for unending favor and prosperity.

4. Give to the poor- Bless others

Bless others with what you have. Always see the need in other people’s lives and assist wherever you can. Bless others, and God will look favorably on you. A good deed deserves a reward. God will reward you for giving to the poor and less fortunate. “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not,”(Galatians 6:9). It is good to give to the poor. Give of your time and your resources. Give and it shall be given back to you, (See Luke 6:38).

5. Change your mindset – Think positive

Attract the favor of God by believing his words. If you are expecting negativity and failure then that is what you will attract. Think positive, expect to receive the best from God and you will. Expect the favor of God and it will be manifested in your life. Broaden your horizon and look to the one who can do exceedingly, abundantly above all you could ever ask or think. Know who you are in Christ. He is more than able.

6. Prayer

Pray to God always. “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” (Luke 18:1). Pray to him, talk to God about everything you are going through. Ask him for his favor, mercy, and grace. He will give you whatever you ask.

7. Sow your seed and give your tithe and offering.

Support the preaching of the gospel of God. Help to spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the world. Be a kingdom financier.

8. Exercise your faith

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, (Romans 10;17). God is looking for people with strong faith. If small faith can move mountains, can you imagine what large faith can do? If you expect from God; then you will have to use your faith to receive.

Why do we need the favor of God?

3. Favor of God will unlock destiny.

4. Favor of God will restore lost years.
